Synopsis
An aspiring actress named Ashley (based on director Greg Carter's girlfriend) agrees with her fiancé to take a job as an exotic dancer in order to provide for her cancer-stricken father. The pact they make involves Ashley dancing until her father recovers, after which she will leave the profession and they will move together to Los Angeles. However, once this agreement is broken, their lives are forever changed.

Lap Dance is a 2014 drama film directed by Greg Carter, based on his own experiences with his girlfriend before moving to Los Angeles in 2005.
