Synopsis
Le cri de la soie follows the story of an illiterate seamstress who has an unusual fetish for silk. Her fascination with silk leads her into trouble and draws the attention of a psychiatrist sent to help her. However, during World War One, he becomes fascinated by her case and they eventually fall in love upon his return to France. Their affair can only end tragically.
