Synopsis
The film begins with Udo Lindenberg moving from his remote hometown of Gronau in Westphalia to Hamburg. Initially, he meets Paula, whom he does not end up falling deeply in love with but finds appealing nonetheless. After meeting Steffi Stephan, they complete their trio and consider forming a band. However, before achieving this goal, Udo experiences various adventures including playing as a jazz drummer in different bands and performing dangerously at a US military base located in the middle of the Libyan desert.
