Histoire
Moritz and Karl, two unsuccessful advertising copywriters, find themselves in a monotonous job at an advertising company. One day, they encounter an agent from a rival company who offers to buy information about their current campaign. However, Moritz and Karl have no access to this information and thus decide to fabricate a fake campaign to sell instead. The agent buys their false information, allowing the duo to live lavishly off their earnings. They start believing in their fictional campaign, celebrating with party after party. Things take a turn when Jed Curtis, the buyer of their fabricated information, discovers that it's all made up.
