Synopsis
Luce, an adopted Ethiopian son of a wealthy American family, has achieved remarkable success as both a star athlete and top student at his prestigious school in Arlington, Virginia. His seemingly perfect image is challenged when one of his teachers, Ms. Wilson, finds disturbing views on political violence in his journal. Luce's parents, Amy and Peter, struggle to reconcile this revelation with their son's accomplishments and the progressive values they hold. As the family navigates this crisis, it causes intense debates on race and identity within their social circle.

Résumé
