Synopsis
The series 'Maison close' is set in Paris during 1871 and revolves around a luxury brothel called Paradise. The story follows three main women associated with this establishment:
Rose, a young woman who arrives in Paris searching for her mother, a former prostitute. She becomes trapped at Paradise and is forced to work there.
Vera, a 35-year-old prostitute nearing the end of her career. She gambles on her wealthy patron, Baron Du Plessis, to pay off her debts and secure her future.
Hortense, the proprietor of Paradise, who struggles to protect her girls from external threats, such as the extortion demands of a local thug.
