Synopsis
Mata Hari, a Dutch-born dancer working in Paris during World War I, accepts an invitation to perform in Berlin. On her journey by train, she meets a German officer but their budding romance is interrupted when a French agent is murdered in her presence. Arrested in Germany but later freed due to the German officer's intervention, Mata Hari finds herself recruited as a spy for Germany against France after war breaks out. Using her seductive charm and high society connections, she collects military secrets until her deceptions ultimately catch up with her.

Résumé
Mata Hari is a 1985 film based loosely on the real-life story of the famed exotic dancer and alleged spy during World War I. Directed by Curtis Harrington, the movie explores Mata Hari's manipulative and seductive methods to gather military secrets while navigating European high society. Although the plots from TMDB and IMDb differ in some details regarding her recruitment as a spy, both agree that she successfully plays both sides until her deceptions lead to her downfall.
