Synopsis

Directed by Ben Steiner and set in the UK, 'Matriarch' (2022) is a rural family trauma body horror film starring Kate Dickie ('Game of Thrones', 'The Green Knight') and Jemima Rooper ('The Girlfriend Experience', upcoming 'Flowers in the Attic: The Origin'). This movie serves as a thematic successor to Steiner's 2018 short film 'URN'. It explores themes of personal trauma, family dynamics, and perhaps supernatural horror.
