Synopsis
Messiah begins with the mysterious arrival of a charismatic man in the Middle East who sparks a groundswell of followers claiming he is the Messiah. This creates political unrest and draws the attention of a wary CIA officer, Michelle Murphy, who becomes determined to investigate his true identity and intentions. Meanwhile, an Israeli Shin Bet officer, Aviram Dahan, also monitors the situation due to its potential impact on regional stability. A young Texas preacher, Thomas, and his daughter, Rebecca, are drawn into the phenomenon as their congregation swells with new believers. The narrative explores how various individuals react to this figure, from a Palestinian refugee who joins his cause to media outlets reporting on his growing influence.
