Synopsis
The lives of three women are interconnected through adoption. Karen, a physical therapist, had her daughter Elizabeth adopted when she was fourteen. Elizabeth, now a successful lawyer, struggles with intimacy due to her adoptee status. Lucy, married but unable to conceive, hopes to adopt a child. Their stories converge as they each grapple with their pasts and desires.
