Synopsis
In Seville during Holy Week, a struggling novelist named Carlos supports himself by creating crossword puzzles. One day, he receives an anonymous message on his answering machine instructing him to include a specific word in his next puzzle. Intrigued and needing money, he complies. Soon after, the specified word appears in a headline of a newspaper reporting a murder. As more messages arrive, Carlos becomes drawn into a real-life game of intrigue played out on Seville's narrow streets, with increasingly high stakes for himself and the city.
