Synopsis
During the summer of 1955 in a small Canadian township, two teenage boys embark on a journey of self-discovery as they navigate their newfound interest in women and rock 'n' roll music. Eric Hansen, a seventeen-year-old boy, moves to this town and his life is forever changed by these experiences.
One of the boys tries to impress his girlfriend by taking her for rides in various cars owned by his father, while the other becomes increasingly serious about pursuing an older woman who has taken an interest in him. Meanwhile, their parents, who also have their own adult problems and concerns, play a significant role in their sons' lives.
