Synopsis
After her father's violent death, Native American teenager Margo Crane decides to flee down Michigan's Stark River in search of her estranged mother. Throughout her odyssey, she encounters a variety of allies and enemies, faces numerous dangers, and experiences the beauty of nature. Along the way, Margo comes to terms with her past and explores her own identity.
