Histoire
Alex Bernier (played by Ledger), a member of an arcane order known as Carolingians, is sent to Rome after his superior's mysterious death. Alex enlists help from Father Thomas (Addy) and a troubled artist (Sossamon), whom he once performed an exorcism on. He becomes entangled in a mystery that ultimately connects him to its core.
