Histoire
After serving two years in prison for accepting a bribe—a charge he maintains was false—former newspaper reporter Harry Barber is released, harboring bitterness and a desire for revenge. ‘Palmetto’ is a neo-noir thriller directed by Volker Schlöndorff in 1998, based on the novel ‘The Big Get Lost’ by David Goodis. The film follows Harry Barber (played by Woody Harrelson), a disgraced newspaper reporter who is framed for accepting a bribe and spends two years in prison. Upon his release, he becomes entangled in a complex kidnapping scheme orchestrated by Mrs. Malroux (Elisabeth Shue).
