Histoire
Clément, a young Parisian philosophy professor, is temporarily transferred to Arras, a small provincial town for a year. He struggles to find ways to occupy his free time until he meets Jennifer, a pretty hairdresser with whom he begins an affair. Despite their mutual attraction, their relationship is threatened by socio-cultural differences: Clément is a snobbish loner obsessed with Kant and Proust, while Jennifer is a sweet young mother who enjoys karaoke evenings with her friends and popular novels.
