Synopsis
Past Life follows two Israeli sisters, Sephi and Nana Milch, in the year 1977. Sephi, a talented classical music composer, struggles against the odds of being a woman in the male-dominated world of classical music. Her sister Nana, a journalist and playwright, considers herself liberated from their parents' past but feels trapped by her sister's artistic pursuit. Their lives are upturned when they discover a dark family secret connected to their father's life during World War II in Poland. Together, they embark on a journey across Europe to uncover the truth about their parents' past and the events that shaped their family. As they delve deeper into their family history, Sephi and Nana grapple with their own identities and aspirations, ultimately leading them to confront the burden of their parents' past.
