Histoire
During the annual Spring Break celebration in Lake Victoria, Arizona, an earthquake occurs, opening up an underwater chasm and unleashing a swarm of ancient, flesh-eating piranhas that have been dormant for thousands of years. The once peaceful lake becomes a feeding frenzy as the piranhas attack unsuspecting partygoers. A local named Julie Forester (Elisabeth Shue) tries to warn everyone about the danger, but it's too late. Her sons Jake and Nick are among those trapped on a boat with the man-eating fish. Meanwhile, a documentary film crew is also in town, capturing the horrific events on camera.
Résumé
Piranha 3D (2010) is a horror-comedy directed by Alexandre Aja, known for its over-the-top gore and satirical take on the spring break culture. The film is essentially a remake of the 1978 classic 'Piranha' but with a modern twist and in 3D. It's set in Lake Victoria, Arizona, where every year the population explodes during Spring Break, attracting thousands of partygoers. When an earthquake releases a school of prehistoric piranhas into the lake, it's up to local residents and visitors alike to survive the bloody ordeal.
