Lily, an art student from Michigan attending school in California, finds an apartment with unconventional roommates. She discovers a box containing nude photographs and a diary belonging to a girl she doesn't know. Intrigued, Lily begins reading the diary and finds herself drawn into the girl's wild lifestyle. As she starts dating a guy named Charles, her art teacher, Mr. Ricker, becomes sexually attracted to her.
