Synopsis
Anja and five friends accompany anthropology student Dace on an expedition to study ancient cave paintings in a remote Australian wilderness. Their trip takes a deadly turn when Mel contracts an unknown infection after skinny-dipping in a waterhole, causing her to physically and mentally regress into a primal, predatory state. Mel's lover and friends realize they are now the prey as she hunts them down with savage ferocity. As more of their group begins to exhibit signs of transformation, they face a harrowing choice: eliminate their infected friends or risk becoming victims themselves. Their only hope for survival lies in escaping through a cave, where Anja discovers too late the true meaning behind the ancient rock art.
