Synopsis
The series 'Raid' begins with the shooting of a police officer investigating white-collar crimes in a TV studio. Another policeman later takes his own life at his summer home. The suicide of a young woman executive from a powerful electronics concern follows soon after. Her embittered father, suspecting foul play, enlists Raid, the woman's former boyfriend, to investigate. Meanwhile, the police are pursuing the first killer and initially believe Raid may be involved. However, they soon realize that the guilty party is elsewhere, leading to an alliance between Raid and the police in their quest for justice.

Based on detective stories by author Harri Nykänen, 'Raid' was adapted into a 12-part series that premiered in Finland in 2000. Directed by Tapio Piirainen, the series was voted the best TV-programme of the year and won awards for its script and direction. The story revolves around Raid, who finds himself entangled in a web of intrigue after his girlfriend's suicide. The series explores themes of corruption, moral ambiguity, and the pursuit of justice through immoral means.
