Synopsis
Dominika Egorova, a prima ballerina, suffers an injury that ends her career. She turns to Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service, where she becomes 'Red Sparrow,' the most dangerous operative after completing their sadistic training. In Budapest, Dominika encounters Nate Nash, a CIA agent who tries to convince her he's trustworthy during a charged game of spycraft and seduction that puts both their lives in mortal danger.

Résumé
Red Sparrow (2018) is an espionage thriller directed by Francis Lawrence. Based on the novel by Jason Matthews, it tells the story of Dominika Egorova, a prima ballerina turned Russian intelligence officer. After joining Sparrow School to avenge her uncle's death and provide for her mother, Dominika becomes a 'Sparrow,' using her body and mind as weapons in the dangerous world of espionage. The film explores themes of patriotism, betrayal, and self-sacrifice amidst a high-stakes game of deception between Russian and American intelligence agencies.
