Bogdanov realizes his predicament when he sees his double on screen, mimicking his gestures and mannerisms perfectly. Struggling to regain his identity and career, Bogdanov finds himself in a battle against an adversary who seems better and more sincere than him. The only person who believes him and wants the real Bogdanov back is his daughter.

Résumé
Selfie is a 2018 Russian thriller directed by Nikolay Khomeriki. The film explores themes of identity, career obsession, and the struggle to maintain one's authenticity in a world where appearance can be deceivingly identical to reality. With its focus on a successful writer replaced by his double, Selfie presents a thought-provoking narrative that blurs the lines between self-perception and public image.
