Mara, an introverted and peculiar woman who fabricates props for movies, hides a dark secret behind her reclusive persona. She terrorizes her lovers by refusing to let them leave, murdering them sadistically, and keeping their corpses as living dolls. When she meets Kat, a fledgling producer, they instantly connect. Mara's grip on reality begins to slip as her relationship with Kat intensifies, causing her to spiral into psychosis. Meanwhile, her dolls start demanding all of her attention. When Kat threatens to break Mara's heart, Mara resorts to killing again.
