Histoire
Four college girls—Faith, Brit, Candy, and Cotty—rob a restaurant to finance their spring break trip to Florida. Upon arrival, they party hard but soon run out of money. They meet a local drug dealer named Alien who provides them with drugs and money in exchange for sexual favors. The girls become entangled in Alien's criminal world, participating in robberies and using drugs freely. When Alien is arrested, the girls are released but decide to rob his house. They successfully steal his money and weapons but are pursued by Alien's gang. In a dramatic shootout, Brit and Cotty are killed while Faith and Candy escape with their lives.
Résumé
Spring Breakers is Harmony Korine's controversial exploration of youth culture, hedonism, and the loss of innocence. The film follows four college friends who rob a restaurant to fund their spring break trip to Florida, where they become entwined in a dangerous world of drugs, crime, and debauchery with a local rapper named Alien. Starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine as the lead characters, the film is notable for its dreamlike visual style, provocative content, and surprising performances from the young actresses, particularly James Franco as Alien.
