Synopsis
Three American expats living in Buenos Aires—two men and an unnamed woman—decide to steal a large sum of money found at her Argentine boyfriend's apartment during their indolent summer. Their plan is set around the Superclásico, an epic football derby between Boca Juniors and River Plate. One of the Americans needs the money to avoid returning home, while another wants it but has no apparent pressing need. Both men are drawn to the woman. Initially planned as a game, the situation quickly turns violent as passions erupt among them, leading to unexpected consequences.

Résumé
Stealing Summers (2011) is an American-Argentine thriller directed by David Martín Porras. The film explores themes of temptation, greed, and the dark side of camaraderie through the lens of three Americans living in Buenos Aires. Set during their carefree summer there, they become embroiled in a scheme to steal money from the woman's Argentine boyfriend, believing it will grant them freedom from returning home. However, as the plan unfolds during the heated Superclásico weekend, tensions rise and violence erupts among them.
