Synopsis
Kostis, a 40-year-old doctor, arrives in Antiparos island to take over the local clinic during the off-season. His solitary life changes when summer arrives and the island becomes a vibrant vacation spot for young tourists. Among them is Anna, a 19-year-old woman whom Kostis finds himself drawn to. As they spend more time together, Kostis starts to live vicariously through Anna's youthful energy, attending wild parties, and even participating in nude swimming. However, his growing obsession with Anna begins to consume him, leading him to make questionable decisions to maintain her attention.

Résumé
Suntan is a German-Greek drama-comedy directed by Argyris Papadimitropoulos that explores themes of aging, hedonism, and unrequited love. The story follows Kostis, an older man who finds himself in a precarious age-gap relationship with Anna, a young woman he meets on the island where he works as a doctor during summer. While the narrative celebrates the beauty and freedom of youth, it also acknowledges its fleeting nature and the inevitable decay that comes with time. The movie uses the backdrop of a Greek island filled with tourists to examine Kostis's desperation to cling onto his lost youth.
