Synopsis
Sally, a 17-year-old girl with supernatural powers stemming from her emotional turmoil, is confined at Teenland, a prison-like institution aimed at 'normalizing' troubled teens like her. Sally initially accepts that she's sick and abnormal but soon encounters Ting-e-ling, a rebellious fellow inmate who encourages Sally to embrace her powers rather than suppress them. The two form a bond and engage in provocative behavior as an act of rebellion. After their punishment, Sally wakes up in a bleak Teenland, having momentarily escaped her psychosis. Resolved to save Ting-e-ling, Sally decides to use her special powers to rebel against the institution.
