Synopsis
Nick Eliot, a 28-year-old newspaper reporter, moves into the guest house of the Forresters. Initially, everything goes well until he meets Adrienne, their 14-year-old daughter. Adrienne develops an obsessive crush on Nick, but he rebuffs her advances due to their significant age difference and his respect for the Forresters. Angered by this rejection, Adrienne embarks on a vengeful path to destroy Nick's life and reputation. She begins by seducing Nick's friend and colleague, making him believe that Nick has been pursuing an affair with Adrienne. This causes a rift between them, leading to Nick's eventual firing from the newspaper. Adrienne then frames Nick for sexually assaulting her, which results in his arrest. Throughout these events, Nick is oblivious to Adrienne's actions and manipulation until he finally pieces together the truth about her obsession.
