Detective Billie Palmer (Alison Eastwood), known for her unorthodox methods, finds herself assigned to investigate a series of ritualistic murders that bear similarities to her mother's unsolved killing years ago. The Lost Angel is a 2004 action-thriller directed by Dimitri Logothetis that explores the dark side of religion and the personal struggles of its protagonist. Detective Billie Palmer, played by Alison Eastwood, is an off-balance cop with a troubled past who will stop at nothing to close cases, even if it means bending the rules. When she is assigned to investigate a series of ritual murders that bear similarities to her mother's unsolved killing, Palmer must confront her own demons while trying to bring the killer to justice. The film also stars Judd Nelson as Father Brian and John Rhys-Davies as Rev. Kevin, a priest with a dark past who aids Palmer in her investigation.
