Synopsis
Total Control begins with Alex Irving, an Indigenous woman, gaining sudden national attention after an unspecified horrific event caught on video goes viral. Seeing an opportunity to boost her party's image, Australia's embattled Prime Minister Rachel Anderson handpicks Alex for the Senate. Initially, Alex seems to be a pawn in the Prime Minister's political games, but she aspires to make a genuine difference. However, when she feels betrayed by the Prime Minister's cynical maneuvers, Alex sets out on a path of revenge that threatens to disrupt the entire political establishment.
