Synopsis
Construction worker Douglas Quaid visits Rekall Inc., where they implant false memories for vacationers. During his procedure, something goes wrong and he begins to remember being a secret agent fighting against Mars administrator Cohaagen. He wakes up with advanced combat skills but no clear understanding of reality. On the run from both the Mars government forces led by Richter and the resistance trying to recruit him, Quaid must navigate Mars' dangerous landscape while figuring out who he truly is.

Résumé
Directed by Paul Verhoeven in 1990, 'Total Recall' is a sci-fi action film based on Philip K. Dick's short story 'We Can Remember It for You Wholesale'. The movie follows construction worker Douglas Quaid as his visit to Rekall Inc., a company that implants false memories, triggers a chain of events revealing his secret past on Mars and putting him at odds with its tyrannical administrator Cohaagen. With themes of identity, memory manipulation, and rebellion against oppressive regimes, 'Total Recall' combines action-packed sequences with thought-provoking concepts in a futuristic setting.
