Résumé
Directed by Robert Wise ('West Side Story', 'The Sound of Music'), 'Two People' is a 1973 romantic drama set in France. The film explores the blossoming love between Evan Bonner, a Vietnam War deserter, and Deirdre McCluskey, a model. While the sources differ slightly in their descriptions of Evan's motivations for returning home (one mentions he intends to give himself up, while another simply states he wants to deal with the fallout), they agree that Paris serves as a backdrop for these two lost souls to find solace and love in each other.
