Synopsis
Mamma Stella, worried about her daughter Rosa Maria leaving her husband Costantino and her son's unconventional lifestyle, sends him to live in a distant lighthouse owned by their family. Costantino's new solitude doesn't last long as he attracts a diverse group of social outcasts: Magnolia, a retired escort girl; Arturo, Rosa Maria's estranged husband; Valbona, a lesbian; Rosa Maria herself; and two eccentric workers with a little girl in tow. Initially chaotic, the group eventually discovers that unity brings strength.

Résumé
Una piccola impresa meridionale (2013), directed by Rocco Papaleo, is an Italian comedy film set in Southern Italy. The story revolves around Costantino, Stella's son, who is sent away to a lighthouse after his unconventional behavior causes embarrassment for his family. The film explores themes of outsiders finding community and acceptance, as diverse characters drawn to Costantino's lighthouse discover they have more in common than they thought.
