Synopsis
Une nouvelle amie (2014) directed by François Ozon follows the life of Claire after the sudden death of her childhood friend Laura. The two women have been inseparable since primary school and both are married, to Gilles for Claire and David for Laura. After Laura's passing, Claire finds herself godmother to Laura's daughter Lucie. When she visits David and Lucie, she discovers that David has a secret.

Résumé
Une nouvelle amie is a French drama that explores the complexities of friendship, loss, and revelation. Based on the novel 'Watch Me' by Alexiane de Mune, the film centers around Claire, played by Anaïs Demoustier, as she navigates life without her best friend Laura (Isild Le Besco). The movie was well-received at the 2014 Festival de Cannes where it premiered in the Directors' Fortnight section.
