Synopsis
Set in Baroque France, 'Valmont' revolves around a wager made by a scheming widow and her lover, Valmont. They bet on whether Valmont can seduce a recently married woman of honorable character. If he wins, he gains sexual freedom with his lover. However, during his pursuit, Valmont finds himself genuinely falling in love with the married woman.
