Synopsis
Thirteen years ago, Jane Arcs was sentenced to death after fatally injuring her opponent in an underground street fight. During her imprisonment, she learns Qigong from fellow inmate and master Xin, gaining apparent supernatural abilities. As her execution day approaches, Jane accepts her fate, but her boyfriend Max Stone, who is also a correctional officer involved in the execution process, refuses to let her die. The film explores Max's desperation to save Jane and the collision between his desire and Jane's acceptance of her punishment.

Directed by Dastan Khalili, 'Way' (2021) is an action drama that follows the final hours of convicted felon Jane Arcs, who embraces her impending execution as a path to spiritual transformation. While confined on Death Row and practicing Qigong under Xin's guidance, Jane has ostensibly acquired supernatural abilities. The film centers around Max Stone's struggle with his feelings for Jane, his loyalty as an officer, and the moral dilemmas he faces in trying to save her life.
