Synopsis
The Wrestler follows Randy 'The Ram' Robinson, an aging professional wrestler past his prime. Nowadays, he struggles to make ends meet with small-time wrestling matches and a part-time grocery store job. When health issues threaten his career, The Ram attempts to build a life outside the ring. He tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter, Stephanie, and starts a relationship with stripper Cassidy. Meanwhile, he receives an offer for a high-profile rematch against his arch-nemesis, The Ayatollah, which could bring him back into the spotlight. Throughout the film, The Ram grapples with these personal changes while trying to maintain his wrestling career.
