Synopsis
In occupied Czechoslovakia during World War II, Eliska, a nurse, and her lover, a surgeon involved in the resistance movement, are discovered by the Nazis. Her lover flees to safety while Eliska, fearing for her life, seeks refuge. A patient whose life she saved previously, Jan from the remote mountain village of Zelary where time seems to have stopped 150 years ago, offers to hide her as his wife in exchange for her care during his recovery. Eliska accepts, and they embark on a journey together, navigating the challenges posed by their unusual marriage of convenience amidst the harsh realities of war.

Résumé
Zelary is a 2003 drama film directed by Ondřej Trojan, set against the backdrop of World War II in Czechoslovakia.
