Born on November 7, 1964, in Green Lake, Wisconsin, Shannon Whirry established herself as a versatile American actress with a foundation in classical training. After graduating as her high school's salutatorian, she moved to New York to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she was one of only 65 students in her class to complete the rigorous two-year program. Her professional journey began with Off-Broadway theater and early television appearances on Saturday Night Live and the soap opera One Life to Live.
Whirry’s film career launched with a role alongside Steven Seagal in the 1991 action hit Out for Justice. However, she became a definitive icon of the 1990s erotic thriller genre through her collaboration with director Gregory Dark. She first captivated audiences in Animal Instincts (1992), portraying Joanna Coles, a role she later reprised in its 1994 sequel. Her work during this era, including titles like Body of Influence (1993) and Mirror Images II (1993), led Entertainment Weekly to famously describe her and Dark as the "Dietrich and Von Sternberg of the soft-core set".
In the mid-90s, Whirry expanded her range into action films and mainstream television, appearing in series such as ER, Nash Bridges, and Felicity. She also delivered a memorable cameo in the Jim Carrey comedy Me, Myself & Irene (2000). Seeking more substantial artistic challenges, she relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, in 2004, where she transitioned primarily to acclaimed stage performances with companies like the iTheatre Collaborative and Nearly Naked Theatre. Her more recent screen work includes the 2007 BBC miniseries Nuclear Secrets and the 2019 independent film Raising Buchanan.

Histoire
A cop and his sexually frustrated wife are struggling to keep their failing marriage intact, when by chance she finds that he is at heart a voyeuristic peeping tom. To satisfy him and herself, his wife has numerous affairs, which her husband watches on closed-circuit televison. However, the pair soon learn that when you play with fire, you'll always get burned.
