Histoire

A young heiress leads a life of excess and wants to marry a man her rich father despises. When her father suspiciously dies, and someone tries to kill her, she surrounds herself with her cousins, friends and lovers, all possible suspects.

Résumé

Patricia Cook, the 17-year-old heiress to a vast steel empire, led a life of privilege but craved love over fortune. Her father, James, disapproved of her tennis instructor, Jack, whom he suspected of pursuing Patricia for her wealth. To safeguard his daughter's inheritance, James arranged a marriage between Patricia and Harry, a race car driver, believing him more honest despite the apparent mercenary nature of their union. However, Harry was quickly captivated by Patricia's charm.

Tragedy struck when James died unexpectedly, leaving Patricia not only heartbroken but also targeted. A series of mysterious assaults followed, each one cleverly disguised as an accident. Surrounded by a web of suspects—Jack, Harry, her cousins, and friends—Patricia struggled to distinguish between genuine affection and predatory intent.
