Histoire

Elsa and Clive are two young scientists who push ethical boundaries by splicing human DNA with animal DNA to create a new organism. They name their creation 'Dren'. Despite initial deformities, Dren rapidly evolves from an infant into a humanoid-chimera with wings, forging bonds with both Elsa and Clive. However, as Dren grows more powerful and unstable, it becomes increasingly dangerous.

Résumé

Splice is a Canadian-French-German science fiction horror film directed by Vincenzo Natali in 2009. The movie explores themes of genetic engineering gone wrong, with Elsa and Clive defying legal and ethical boundaries to create Dren. Although details about the film's context, background, or significance are not explicitly mentioned in the provided sources, it can be inferred that Splice serves as a cautionary tale about the potential dangers of unchecked experimentation in genetic manipulation.
