Jami hopped a plane to Los Angeles, California shortly after graduating from high school. Ferrell then got a job as a nanny in Malibu. Jami was still working as a nanny when she became the Playmate of the Month in the January, 1997 issue of "Playboy". She was also the Playmate of the Month in the German edition of the January, 1997 issue of "Playboy" and graced the cover of the February, 1997 issue of the same famous men's magazine. Ferrell has appeared in many "Playboy" videos and posed for a handful of "Playboy" newsstand special editions. Her favorite pastimes are reading, horseback riding, scuba diving, exploring, and antique hunting for old toys and novelties.
