Histoire
Martin, a young blind photographer living in Melbourne, uses photography as 'proof' that he can perceive the world around him despite his blindness. His life is complicated by two relationships: Celia, a woman who cleans and cooks for him but habitually rearranges the furniture, causing Martin confusion; and Andy, a restaurant worker whom Martin considers his closest friend. However, Celia becomes increasingly jealous of Martin's friendship with Andy, leading to tension between them all.
Résumé
Directed by Australian filmmaker Jocelyn Moorhouse, 'Proof' is a drama that explores themes of blindness, trust, and jealousy. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 1991 and was praised for its unique perspective on disability and human relationships.
