Gillian Jacobs, born on October 19, 1982 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is an American actress known for her role as Britta Perry in the NBC comedy series 'Community'. Of French, German, Irish, and Scottish descent, Jacobs began acting at age eight. She attended acting classes at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, performed with the Pittsburgh Public Theater, and won the Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading to a role as Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream. After graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School in 2000, she moved to New York City to attend Juilliard School, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2004.

Story
