Histoire
Peter Sanderson, a troubled chess grandmaster, comes out of retirement to compete in an international tournament. During this time, he meets and has a one-night stand with a beautiful woman named Christina. Soon after their encounter, Christina's body is discovered drained of blood, and Sanderson becomes the primary suspect due to his connection with her. As the investigation unfolds, more victims are found under similar circumstances, each crime scene marked by Polaroid photographs. Sanderson receives a phone call from the killer urging him to solve the chess puzzles left behind at each murder scene. Despite his cooperation with police and psychologist Dr. Clara Montrose, doubts about Sanderson's innocence linger as the grisly murders continue.

Knight Moves (1992) is a psychological thriller directed by Carl Schenkel, set in the high-stakes world of international chess competitions.
