Shailene Woodley, born November 15, 1991 in San Bernardino, California, began acting professionally at a young age. She gained prominence for her role as Amy Juergens in 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager' (2008-2013). Her breakthrough came with her leading role as Alexandra King in 'The Descendants' (2011), for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Woodley has since starred in various films and TV shows, including 'The Fault in Our Stars', 'The Divergent Series', and 'Big Little Lies'. She is also an environmental activist.

Histoire
Adrift follows Tami Oldham (Shailene Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Sam Claflin), two avid sailors who meet and fall in love while traveling together. They decide to set sail from Tahiti to San Diego on a 36-foot yacht. However, they soon find themselves in the path of Hurricane Raymond, one of the most catastrophic hurricanes ever recorded. During the storm, Tami is knocked unconscious and awakens to discover Richard severely injured and their boat, Hazel, wrecked. With no hope of rescue due to their remote location, Tami must draw upon her inner strength and survival skills to save herself and Richard.
