Born and raised in Leeton, New South Wales, she pursued her professional training at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, which served as a springboard for her work across Europe and Australia.
She gained significant recognition for her role as Naina Saberneck in the 2010 neo-western feature film Snowblind, directed by Kilian Manning. In the film, she delivered a compelling performance as the female lead alongside an international cast. Her television credits are equally notable, including roles as Monique in the long-running Australian soap Home and Away and as Rabindra Shah in the BBC medical drama Holby City.
In addition to her acting work, Ghedia is an accomplished creator and advocate for diverse storytelling. Her short film No Monsters in Berlin (2016), which she wrote and starred in, received critical acclaim and won the "Diversity in Cannes" Short Film Showcase. Beyond her creative output, she is a central figure in the international film community; since 2021, she has served as the Festival Director for the Down Under Berlin Film Festival, promoting Australian and New Zealand cinema to European audiences.
