Biographie complète
Born in Paris on March 20, 1990, Stacy Martin is a celebrated French-British actress who has carved a niche for herself in the world of high-concept independent and arthouse cinema. Her upbringing was distinctly international; the daughter of a French hairstylist and an English mother, she spent several of her formative years in Tokyo before returning to France and eventually settling in London at the age of 18. In London, she balanced her studies in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of the Arts with a flourishing modeling career, notably becoming the face of Miu Miu's inaugural fragrance.
Her professional breakthrough came in 2013 when she was cast as the young Joe in Lars von Trier’s provocative two-part drama Nymphomaniac, a role that required immense vulnerability and immediately established her as a fearless performer. Since then, Martin has become a frequent collaborator with visionary directors like Brady Corbet, appearing in his acclaimed features The Childhood of a Leader (2015), Vox Lux (2018), and the historical epic The Brutalist (2024). Her filmography also includes diverse international projects such as the biographical film Redoubtable (2017), Ridley Scott's All the Money in the World (2017), and the BBC crime series The Serpent (2021).
Off-screen, Martin is known for her private lifestyle in London, where she lives with her long-term partner, the musician and composer Daniel Blumberg. Her work continues to garner critical respect, evidenced by her recognition as a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit and her continued presence at major international film festivals.
