Born on September 29, 1987, in Lille, France, Anaïs Demoustier has established herself as one of the most versatile and acclaimed actresses in contemporary French cinema. Her career began at a young age when she was discovered during a drama class, leading to an early role alongside Michel Serrault in Marty's World and a significant performance in Michael Haneke’s Time of the Wolf (2003).

After being twice nominated as the Most Promising Actress at the César Awards for Les Grandes Personnes and Living on Love Alone, Demoustier reached a career milestone in 2020 by winning the César for Best Actress for her portrayal of a young philosopher in Alice and the Mayor (Alice et le maire). Histoire

The film follows Julie Bataille, a young woman who has been studying for five years at university and is eager to find a real job at the age of 23.
